Property investors throughout the country come in all different shapes, ages and backgrounds but when it comes to actually investing in their property, you can put them into two distinct boxes.
In box number one, we see investors who buy on a whim because they’ve seen something that’s caught their eye or seemed like a bargain and then in box number two, you get the property investors who really love to do their homework before putting a cent down on the deal.
Of course, I hope you don’t fall into box number one because as I’ve often said, ‘If you don’t take the time to research, research, research then you might as well be throwing your options to the wind to see what sticks around and then praying it’s the right one’.
Too often people come to property investment strategists like me when they are in dire straits and beg for help. Often we can get them back into less choppy waters but it normally takes a lot of re-negotiation with lenders and/or other interested parties and a whack load of juggling the finances around to get them back on the right stream.
When you take the time to learn all you can about property investing, it pays for itself over and over for the future. After all, if you are looking to put $2-300k or more into a property, there is no room for mistakes, blaming the economy, your financial ‘bad luck’ or anything else if you haven’t taken the time to educate yourself in knowing how your money should be working for you – now and in the future.
Without doubt, taking a stroll along to your local bookstore or finding property investment books online will certainly give you a great head start, there is nothing like hearing it from the pros who are continuing to make profit after profit in their investment properties, year on year.
And even better nowadays thanks to most people’s easy access to the internet, another popular medium for learning all you need to know about property investment is with webinars. Webinars are online based seminars where communities of like-minded individuals can come together to share and discuss their passion.
